A lovely ornate 19th Century black forest carving of a fox, sitting cross legged reading a book, the fox wearing a jacket and seems to be sitting on a rock with various foliage and a carved box to the side.  Slight damage to left ear.  Circa 1880. 5" x 2" x 5 1/2" high 13cms x 5cms x 14cms high

A superb quality 18th Century Italian giltwood console table, having the original veined grey marble top with a thumb moulded edge above a highly decorative carved and pierced giltwood frieze which runs along the sides as well as the front, incorporating intricate mouldings and floral shapes, at the centre of the frieze there is a highly decorated carved giltwood panel displaying various instruments, ribbons and further floral decoration, each corner of the table having panels with intricate carved giltwood patraes and supported on four highly decorative tapering turned and fluted legs.  Circa 1780.  Please note that at some point the marble has been broken but restored, there are a few scratches on the marble top (see photo's)

An exhibition quality large 19th Century walnut and ormolu open bookcase, having a wonderful figured and shaped top which is also crossbanded, the frieze below having decorative engraved ormolu moulding and further ormolu moulding at the bottom of the frieze, with four ormolu patraes at the centre, the bookcase having six adjustable shelves which is split into three sections with four concave pillars with further wonderful figuration, crossbanding on the sides and supported on a plinth base with decorated with engraved ormolu moulding.  In excellent condition and having a lovely warm walnut colour.  Circa 1860.

The cabinet makers Johnstone and Jeanes produced very high quality antique furniture, as they only used the finest quality timbers and were skilled craftsmen. They were based in 67 New Bond Street in London from 1842 until 1880 run by John Johnstone.  Specialising in tables and with a burgeoning reputation, they exhibited at all the major exhibitions. Notably London in 1851 and ’62 and Paris in 1878. With an aristocratic client list, the Royal collection acquired a walnut veneered table from the firm.

Early 19th Century burr walnut coffee table, having a wonderful figured and shaped top decorated with fine inlay and ebony inlay in between, the figuration is truly spectacular, the ebonised moulded edge above a frieze decorated with circular patraes at the centre of each side, supported on elegant and carved turned legs raised on brass castors, united by side and turned central stretcher.  Circa 1840.

A lovely quality mid 19th Century flame mahogany chiffonier / cabinet,  having a shaped and moulded carved scrolled pediment above a two shelves with oval flame mahogany back panels, the bottom shelf supported on turned finials and the shelf having a decorative carved front edge, the top section either side having turned and carved supports what appears to be in the form of swan heads,  the base having two mahogany lined frieze drawers above two flame mahogany arched panelled doors, the doors flanked by pillars with carved decoration, standing on a turned feet.  Circa 1850.
